Learn to Listen with Sounds of the Country!
Did you know that listening is a learned skill? Give your little one a head start by helping them learn to listen before they start school with Eardrop the bunny and Sounds of the Country.
Eardrops the bunny and his friend The Farmer take a twenty seven minute adventure around the farm in Sounds of the Country - and your child can come along too! Listen with your child and identify the sounds. There’s a chicken, a motorbike, sheep, turkeys, a cat and a crunchy apple! Sounds of the Country includes listening cues throughout to help your children focus on learning to listen. There’s even a guessing game at the end to help your child remember what they’ve learnt.
Most educational media for children focuses on visual learning. While visual learning is important, learning to listen is an important life skill! Sounds of the Country will help your child learn to listen while building up their concentration skills and vocabulary. Sounds of the Country is a great alternative to television for growing kids and it’s an easy way for busy parents to help kids learn without relying on books.
Sounds of the Country is recommended for preschool children aged 1-4. The CD comes with a booklet.
Along with the rest of Eardrop’s Journey’s, Sounds of the Country was developed and recorded in New Zealand. The CDs were developed with a team of educators (including a Speech Language Therapist, Early Childhood Teacher, and Early Intervention Teacher) in line with the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum.
